Mumbai:

The Indian stock market remained under pressure for the fifth straight session on Thursday (September 25, 2025), extending its losing streak and keeping investors cautious.

The BSE Sensex opened lower at 81,574.31 points today. By around 11:30 a.m.–12:00 noon, it was trading 118.32 points down at 81,605.69 points.

Similarly, the NSE Nifty slipped 30.70 points to trade at 25,026.20 points during the same session.

Last week, markets had witnessed some gains but ended sharply lower towards the weekend. Continuing that trend, this week has seen four consecutive sessions of decline, causing concern among investors.

However, compared to the previous trading days, experts note that the market today appears to be moving without major fluctuations, suggesting some stability despite the ongoing weakness.
