Tata Motors has achieved a remarkable milestone by delivering 10,000 cars, driven by the recent reduction in GST rates.

Following the government’s revised GST structure, the prices of several goods, including medicines, household products, two-wheelers, cars, and electronic items, have come down. Automakers quickly used this opportunity to slash prices and attract more customers.

On September 22, 2025 – the very first day of the new GST rollout – vehicle registrations across the country surged significantly. Among the manufacturers, Tata Motors stole the spotlight by handing over 10,000 cars to customers in a single day.

Industry sources also highlight that the new GST tax regime has not only reduced the cost of new vehicles but also brought down the prices of used cars, resulting in a rise in overall sales.

Other Automakers Join Price Cut Drive

Not just Tata Motors, but several leading automobile manufacturers have also rolled out price reductions in response to the new GST framework.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, along with two-wheeler giants like Bajaj Auto and Honda, have announced revised pricing across their vehicle line-ups. Industry experts say this move is expected to further boost sales momentum in both the four-wheeler and two-wheeler segments. With competitive pricing and increased demand, automakers are anticipating strong growth in the upcoming festive season. Analysts believe this GST-driven price correction will benefit both new and used vehicle markets, creating a win-win scenario for customers and manufacturers alike.
