DRDO Successfully Tests Agni Prime Missile from Rail-Mobile Launcher

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully conducted the first-ever test of the Agni Prime missile from a rail-mobile launcher, marking a major milestone in India’s defence capabilities.

The missile, designed with advanced features, is capable of striking targets up to 2,000 kilometers away. This was the first test of Agni Prime from a specially designed rail-based launcher, and it achieved complete success.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO scientists and the armed forces for this achievement. In his social media post, he stated:

“The Agni Prime missile was test-fired today from a rail-mobile launcher. With a strike range of 2,000 km and multiple advanced features, this missile has been designed to enhance India’s strategic capabilities. The successful test makes India a nation capable of launching missiles from rail-based mobile platforms.”

Experts noted that this successful trial represents a significant advancement in India’s strategic deterrence and strengthens the country’s defence preparedness.
