Chennai:
Quarterly examinations for school students concluded today (Sept. 26). Following this, a nine-day holiday has been declared from tomorrow until October 5.

In this context, the Directorate of Private Schools has issued a strict warning that no special classes should be conducted during the holiday period. Citing the High Court’s order prohibiting schools from holding classes during holidays, a circular has been sent to all private schools.

The directive has been issued with the objective of safeguarding students’ welfare and ensuring balance in the education system. Parents and students are encouraged to make use of the holidays in a productive way.  The School Education Department has emphasized that private schools must strictly adhere to this order and comply with the court’s directive.
